Delivery rates
Per-order rates for the trip from our dispatch dock in Ras Al Khor to the buyer’s door, anywhere across all seven Emirates. We run our own fleet end to end, which is what keeps the rate structure flat and predictable rather than a stack of carrier surcharges. Below is what shapes a quoted delivery rate, and the surcharges that sometimes apply on top.
What drives a delivery rate
Section titled “What drives a delivery rate”Five inputs decide the per-order price for a last-mile shipment.
- Destination Emirate. Dubai is the cheapest because density is highest and the routes are dense; Fujairah and remote Al Ain cost more because the run is longer. Full coverage in last-mile delivery.
- Weight and dimensions. Sub-3kg, 3 to 10kg, and 10kg+ are the standard parcel weight bands. The parcel ceiling is 20 kg with dimensions up to 80 x 60 x 60 cm. Beyond that, including furniture, appliances, and other heavy or oversized goods, we dispatch on a dedicated truck at a separate rate; request a quote for furniture and heavy goods delivery.
- Speed tier. Same-day, next-day, and standard transit each have their own rate; the cut-off rules sit in cut-off times and the lane matrix in delivery timelines.
- Surcharges. Remote area, fragile, oversized, or after-hours can each add a per-order line; details below.
- COD versus prepaid. COD orders carry an additional per-order COD fee on top of the delivery rate, because we collect, reconcile, and pay out cash.
Speed tiers
Section titled “Speed tiers”Same-day Dubai
Section titled “Same-day Dubai”For orders placed before 14:00 Dubai time and shipping to a buyer inside our same-day Dubai zone (everything except outer Hatta and far Lehbab). Picked, packed, and out for delivery the same operational day.
Custom quoteNext-day across the seven Emirates
Section titled “Next-day across the seven Emirates”For orders placed before the dispatch cut-off and shipping to Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi city, or non-same-day Dubai zones. Picked the same day, on the road the next morning.
Custom quoteStandard transit across the seven Emirates
Section titled “Standard transit across the seven Emirates”The default tier when speed is not the priority. Two-day to Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, and Al Ain; one to two days to nearer Emirates. Cheapest tier.
Custom quoteSurcharges
Section titled “Surcharges”These add on top of the per-order delivery rate when applicable. None are hidden; each appears as its own line on your monthly invoice with the order ID it ties to.
Remote area surcharge
Section titled “Remote area surcharge”Applies to a small set of remote zones served by sub-contracted carriers (Sir Bani Yas, Delma, parts of Liwa, deep-Hatta). Charged per affected order.
Custom quoteFragile surcharge
Section titled “Fragile surcharge”Applies when an order is flagged as fragile at pick: extra packaging, soft-handled vehicle, no stacking on the route. Glass, ceramics, electronics with delicate displays, anything that needs special handling.
Custom quoteOversized surcharge
Section titled “Oversized surcharge”Applies on parcel-routed orders that sit at the high end of the standard limits (close to 20 kg or close to 80 x 60 x 60 cm) and need extra handling on the truck or at the door. Anything above the parcel ceiling moves entirely off the parcel rate card and onto our dedicated truck service for furniture, appliances, and other heavy or oversized goods; request a quote for that lane.
Custom quoteAfter-hours surcharge
Section titled “After-hours surcharge”For deliveries scheduled outside our standard last-mile window (early-morning corporate drops, evening drops past driver close). Most retail orders never trigger this; B2B orders sometimes do.
Custom quoteDelivery attempts
Section titled “Delivery attempts”Three attempts per parcel. The pricing structure:
- First attempt: included in the delivery rate. No extra line.
- Second attempt: AED 15 per order. Triggered when the buyer was not available on the first try and we route a second attempt.
- Third attempt: Included. The final courtesy try, usually on a different day and time of day. After the third miss, the parcel returns to our warehouse and a returns fee applies.
COD orders
Section titled “COD orders”A COD order is a delivery rate plus a COD fee, not a different delivery rate. The driver makes the same trip; the COD fee covers the cash collection, the same-day reconciliation at our cashier, and the bank payout to your account. Refused-at-door COD orders are billed the delivery rate (the trip happened) plus a returns fee, not the COD fee.
What is included in the delivery rate
Section titled “What is included in the delivery rate”Standard inclusions on every parcel we ship, no extras to tick:
- Insurance up to a per-order cap. Standard cover for damage or loss in our care, included in the rate. Higher-value SKUs can be insured to a custom limit on request.
- SMS and WhatsApp notification to the buyer. Dispatch confirmation and 15-minutes-before-arrival ping.
- Photo and signature proof of delivery. Captured on every drop, attached to the order in your SamVertex account, downloadable for disputes.
- Live tracking. Buyer-facing tracking page (branded with your store) plus seller dashboard view; see tracking.
- First delivery attempt. Included in the delivery rate. The second and third attempts have their own fee structure documented in the Delivery attempts section above.
