Warehousing and storage
Your inventory lives in our Ras Al Khor facility in Dubai, on the same site as our fulfilment and dispatch operations. That means an order can move from shelf to driver bay in under an hour, with no inter-warehouse transfers.
What we store
Section titled “What we store”Most of what e-commerce sellers in the UAE move:
- Fashion and apparel (hanging or boxed)
- Beauty, cosmetics, and personal care
- Electronics and small consumer goods
- Supplements and packaged food (ambient, not chilled)
- Home and lifestyle goods
- Toys and gifting
We do not handle: chilled or frozen goods, ammunition, alcohol, pharmaceuticals (controlled), or anything on the UAE prohibited list. See Restricted items for the full breakdown.
Storage types
Section titled “Storage types”You pay for the storage type that fits the SKU, not a one-size-fits-all rate.
Pallet storage
Section titled “Pallet storage”Standard CHEP-sized pallet (1.2m x 1.0m). Best for bulk SKUs that move in cartons, or stock waiting to be picked into smaller bins. Billed per pallet per month. See Storage rates for current pricing.
Shelf storage
Section titled “Shelf storage”Mid-density storage, 0.5m to 1.5m wide bays. Good for slower-moving SKUs that still ship as units. Common for fashion, accessories, and homeware.
Bin storage
Section titled “Bin storage”Small-parts pick bins (20cm to 40cm wide). Used for jewellery, cosmetics samples, small electronics, and any SKU shipping in units of one or two. Best margin if you have a wide SKU count with low per-SKU stock.
Bonded vs standard
Section titled “Bonded vs standard”Both are available in our facility.
- Standard storage is for stock already cleared into the UAE. You can sell it to UAE buyers immediately.
- Bonded storage holds stock under customs supervision before clearance. Useful if you are re-exporting (selling to Saudi, Oman, or elsewhere in the GCC) and do not want to pay UAE duty up front.
Sellers selling only inside the UAE almost always use standard storage. Bonded comes into play for re-export models or for slow-moving inventory you may eventually re-route out of the country.
Inbound and stock receiving
Section titled “Inbound and stock receiving”When stock arrives at our dock:
- We unpack and count against the packing list.
- Damaged cartons are flagged and photographed.
- Discrepancies (over, short, or wrong SKU) are reported inside 24 hours.
- Stock is put away and goes live in your account.
You see the inbound report in your dashboard the day after the goods land.
Inventory visibility
Section titled “Inventory visibility”Stock counts are real-time in your SamVertex dashboard. Every pick, return, and adjustment writes to your ledger. We also run a full cycle count every quarter.
